Working with three-dimensional structures has always been essential to my work — especially the human body, when I cut muslin and drape it on the dress form. The depth and angles naturally guide the fabric into unique silhouettes and help me see things from different perspectives. Each side expresses its own distinctive character.

Since using materials other than fabric, this experience has led me to mix media and explore new ways to express myself from different angles.

Through this new sculptural work with rings, I’ve learned to approach cold, geometric forms and transform them into something emotional and intimate.

This sculptural ring is composed of a solid Sterling silver band, a gold ball, and organically hand-crafted white clay.
