BURGUNDy
A memory
When I start loving something, I find good memories coming back to me. It happens sometimes with the weather, scents, sounds, objects, places… and colors.
I have been talking with friends and customers about my work, and I often realize that my biggest inspiration comes from my childhood memories. In those memories, the largest part comes from my father.
I remember that my decision was very quick when I bought a gift for my dad. He had a sharp aesthetic sense and an eye for beauty. Burgundy was one of his symbolic colors. He wore a pulpit robe with a burgundy velvet panel during services at church—he was a pastor. After he retired, he wore a beret every day, everywhere, even when he was in the hospital, and his favorite beret was burgundy. I also remember that he had a V-neck sweater that had become shrunken and stiff with age.
Whenever I see this color, it reminds me of him—like a spring breeze that makes my heart beat faster.
…
I want to share my story with you through this colored sweater and objects.

‘Chaconne’ is a piece of music built on repetition. A simple structure returns again and again, while small changes appear over time.
I chose the name Chaconne for this cashmere sweater because it feels familiar and comforting. It is designed to be worn often, becoming softer and more personal with time. The shape stays calm and steady, while the feeling deepens through everyday wear.
Like a melody that stays with you, Chaconne is meant to be part of daily life—warm, quiet, and close to the body.
